Located at the south end of Tybee Island off Butler Avenue
Tybee Island is the beach closest to Savannah and has many awesome features at the spot that we like to go to at the very very end of Chatham Ave. This is the very south end of the island that is not crowded at all and you also can see the sunset there. There are dunes, waves, and all kinds of driftwood trees sometimes that can be great for photos. Best time of day is obvisouly the last hour before sunset. We don't do weddings here midday because the lighting is terrible and in the summer the heat is dangerous. We LOVE daring couples that want to wade in the water, kick of their shoes ...in fact, we don't suggest shoes at all at this location. Heels simply won't work. Also, a bit of advice..... that heavy suit coat and ball gown are gonna be HOT if you're getting married in the summer. It's also usually windy out there, so tie your hair back or get an up-do! Think linen pants, light clothes, short dresses and pants that can be rolled up. It's the beach, relax and have fun! Super casual is the way to go here.
